Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-443/86-23
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by G. Napuda of this
office on April 14-18, 1986, at the Seabrook Nuclear Station, Unit 1, Seabrook,
New Hampshire, of activities authorized by NRC License No. CPPR-135 and to the
discussions of our findings held by Mr. Napuda with Mr. W. Johnson and other
members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-
tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspec-
tion consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative re-
cords, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed. However,
please notify us immediately should our and your understandings differ on your
commitments with respect to the two unresolved items detailed in paragraphs 4.4
and 5.3 of the enclosed report.
