Dear Mr. Macktal:
Based on conversations with you and representatives of the Government Accou ntability Project (G AP), it is our understanding that you believe you have information of safety significance based upon your experiences as a
-former worker on the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant Project.
In these discussions with you and the representatives of G AP, we have attempted to arrange with you an informal interview to obtain the information you have and to assess it for safety-related implications.
To date we have been unable to arrange an interview date.
Rather, our discussions, particularly those with G AP, have been burdened with the proposed limitations and conditions of G AP reijarding access to you and the information you possess.
We do not intend to negotiate over conditions for the receipt of safety information, Consequently, we now request that you appear at the offices

of Region IV, Suite 1000, 611 Ryan Plaza Drive, Arlington, Texas at 9:00 a. m.
on February 10, 1986 for an interview with Region IV personnel.

You will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses for lodging, food and travel.

If we do not hear from you by February
