RE03NENDED ISSUANCE OF SUBPOENA KR INITRVIBV OF JOE MACETAL Pursuant to the HX)'s Delegation of Subpoena Authority dated April 13, 1984, I am advising the H]O, through you, of my intent to issue the attached subpoena to Joe Macktal cmmanding his appearance for the purpose of having him testify before Region IV personnel to provide infonnation and to produce whatever docunents he may have concerning what he has characterized as significant safety concerns at Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station.
Mr. Macktal has refused to respond to questioning regarding the matter on the advice of Ms. Billie P. Garde of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.
3 It is my understanding that the HJO must advise the Camission in advance of the exercise of this authority.
