Inspection 50-293/87-14
A routine radiological safety inspection was conducted by NRC Region I staff
members during the period February 24-27, 1987. The inspection findings were
discussed with Mr. K. Roberts at the conclusion of the inspection.
During the inspection, we reviewed: the implementation and adequacy of radio-
logical controls for the outage; your secondary water chemistry program; and
your action on previous inspection findings in the area of post-accident samp-
ling, analysis and effluent monitoring.
Inspection findings are discussed in
the enclosed inspection re,' ort.
Some previously identified weaknesses in your post-accident sampling, analysis
and effluent monitoring program, were not corrected. These are indicated as
open items in section 3 of the enclosed report.
No response to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us is appreciated.
