UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF THE BABC0CK AND WILCOX, NAVY NUCLEAR FUEL DIVISION, RESEARCH LABORATORY BUILDING C, LICENSE NO. SNM-178 During 1988, NRC's contracter, Oak Ridge Associated Universities (0RAU),
conducted a confimatory survey to verify that the condition of Building C under License No. SNM-778, B&W Navy Nuclesr Fuel Division, Research Laboratory, met the release criteria specified in Annex C to License No. SNM-NB and the dose rate limit of five microroentgen por nour 6t one meter. Region !! has reviewed a final report dated July 1988 (copies enclosed), c' the survey performed by ORAU and concluded that there was no residual contamination in the facility in excess of the linits described above.
In that applicable release critoria have been r.:dt, we recomend the unconditional release of Building C under License No. SNM-778.
