Follow-up to Special Report on Inoperability of Radiation Monitor RM-064 Omaha Public Power District (0 PPD) reported in Reference 2 the inoperability of

' Hain Steam Line Radiation Monitor RM-064. In the Special Report, OPFD stated that further investigation would be performed. The purpose of this subnittal is to inform you that investigation has confirned a defective pre-nmplifier at the detector. OPPD is working with the vendor to resolve this prtbler.t, t.ro parts are being obtained to repair the defective camponents.

In tt'e interim, OFPD will comply with Technical Spcification Table 2-10 footnote (a) with a preplanned alternate method ol' monitoring the appropriate paraneter(s) in accordance with the operating pror,edures, if you have any questions concerning this matter, please .;ontact us.
