As a result of the inspection conducted October 5 7, he following violation was 1988, and in accordance l
with NRC Enforcement Policy (10 CFR 2, Appendix C), t identified:
l Technical Specification 6.5 B. states, in part, that radiation control standards and procedures shall be prepared approved and maintained and I
made availeble to all station personnel, theseprocedu'esshallshow l
permissible radiation exposure, and shall be consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 20.
The radiation protectit n program shall be I
organized to meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 20.
1 Procedure AP 0502, Revision 19, "Radiatioi Work Permits', section B. 6.,
l requires in part, that all working ) arty personnel shall observe all posted and written instructions given by tie work party supervisor and/or the assigned Chemistry and Health Physics representative.
Contrary to the above, on September 283 "988, two Instrument and Control 1
l (l&C) technicians entered the 'A' and B recombiner hallways in the Advanced Offgas (A0G) building which were posted 'High Radiation Area, RWP Required" without a Radiation Work Permit (RWP).
This is a Severity level !Y violation (Supplement IV).
