Tennessee Valley Authority Docket Nos. 50-327, 50-328 Sequoyah License Nos. DPR-77, DPR-79 c

During the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) special heatup",hift coverage inspection conducted October 5-11, 1988, a violation of NRC requirements was ,

identified. In accordance with the "General Statement of Policy and Procedure I for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1988), the violation [

is listed below: (

TS 3.7.12 requires that, all fire barrier penetrations (including cable  ;

penetration barriers, firedoors and fire dampers) in fire zone boundaries i j

protecting safety related areas shall be functional at all times. [

! NRC Resident inspector, Sequoyah, within 30 days of the date of the letter 1 transmitting this Notice. This reply should be clearly marked as a "Reply to

! a Notice of Violation" and should include (for each violation): (1) admission or denial of the violation, (2) the reason for the violation if admitted,  ;

, the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved, i i the corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations, and ~
