Your letters of February 13 and April 9,1986, transmitted Revision No.16 and Revision No. 16, Amended, to the Calvert Cliffs Security Plan. We have reviewed the information contained in these plan revisions and have determined that portions of Revision No. 16 are consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p), and are considered acceptable. A portion of Revision 16 and Revision 16, Amended,which changes the intrusion detection system at the intake structure,were considered to have NRC policy implications and were referred to our Headquarters staff for review.
By letter of May 9, 1986, the NRC headquarters staff advised you that these changes are considered acceptable.
The enclosures to your above referenced letters are being withheld from public disclosure since they contain Safeguards Information and must be protected in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21.
