This refers to the routine Post-Accident Sampling System safety inspection
conducted by Mr. J. J. Kottan of this office on February 24-27, 1987 at the

Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2, Lusby, Maryland, of activ-

ities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-53 and DPR-69 and to the discussions
of our findings held by Mr. Kottan with Mr. P. Crinigan and others of your
I
staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
