This refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. R. J. Bailey

of this office on March 2-6, 1987 at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station at
Salem Township, Pennsylvania, of activities authorized by NRC License Nos.

NPF-14 and NPF-22 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Bailey
with Mr. Blakeslee of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the

inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
l
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.

security program that have been determined to be exempt from public disclosure

in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 (Safeguards Information). Therefore, they
