SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCES a

1 At the beginning of the month, the plant was.in hot shutdown while a generator hydrogen leak was being repaired.

On March lith, the reactor was made critical, the unit was phased to the grid, and loading commenced.

On March 12th, 30% power was maintained for a baron soak.

On March 13th, loading commenced.

On March 14th, 98.8% power was reached and maintained while the feed flow i

calorimetric was evaluated.

A limit of 882 MWe was maintained pending generator capability evaluation.

On March 17th, 98.8% power (882 MWe) was maintained while the generator hydrogen gland seal ring rub test and vibrations in the exciter and

generator were evaluated.

For the remainder of the month, a limit of 882 MWe was maintained due to generator vibration concerns.
