On July 9. 1987, we issued NRC Bulletin 87-01 requesting that ifcensees and permit holders suteit inferination concerning their programs for ronitoring the thickness of pipe walls in high-energy single-phase and two-phase carbon steel piping systms. Nguesne Light Ccepany responded to the bulletin by letter dated Septesber 15, 1987.
The inferination you provided is being used to determir.e the extent of inGstry participation and isplea+ntation of erosion /correston ins pection prograss and to obtain data on observed pipe wall thirning. While we aave reviewtd ) cur response in that centext, we do r.ot plan to deter 1nine the adequacy or acceptability of your current program.
