Enclosed is the staff safety evaluation report, and supporting Technical Evaluation Report, on part 1 of this item. The staff concludes that your program for identifying, classifying and treating components that are required for performance of the reactor trip function as safety-related is acceptable. Therefore, Part 1 of GL-83-28 item 2.1 is resolved; Part 2 of item 2.1 remains open at this time.
