I am writing in reference to a telephone conversation that took place on October 22,1997, between you and Patricia Vacherlon, a staff member of the Medical, Academic, and Commercial Use Safety Branch, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards. It is my understanding that during this phone conversation, Ms. Vacherton explained the selection procedures for choosing new r, umbers for advisory committees associated with the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Ms. Vacherton asked if you would be interested in serving on the screening panel for reviewing 2;.,1 rating the nominations received for the position of a physician practicing nuclear cardiology and you stated your interest in serving on the panel.
