HATCH EXAMINATION REPORT 321/0L-86-01 The NRC administered examinations on February 17-20, 1986, to employees of your company who had applied for licenses -to operate the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant.

Additionally, examinations were administered to employees of your company who currently hold licenses to operate the Edwin I. Hatch Plant. At the conclusion of the written examination, a copy of the exam was left with your staff; at the

' conclusion of the site visit, preliminary findings on the operating examinations were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the Examination Report, Enclosure 1.

A table summarizing the examination results for each examined individual is provided as Encicsure 2.

Copies of the written examination questions and answer key are included in this report as Enclosure 3. Utility convrents on the written examination are included

'as Enclosure 4.

As a result of the examination process, one item of performance was identified as requiring inspector followup. For all examined individuals, Georgia Power Company will provide in-depth training on the Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS) prior to declaring all requirements concerning said system as completed.

This will be carried as Inspector Followup Item OL-61-01.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and Enclosures 1, 3 and 4 will be placed in NRC's Public Document Room. Enclosure 2 is exempt from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(a) and will not be sent to the Public Document Room.
