SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT 1 The unit entered the reporting period at a power level of 1048 MWe (99%

. reactor power) ion March lith at 1543. hours. While returning to a normal line up, after performing reactor protection logic testing, a turbine trip / reactor trip occurred ~due to an improperly made up' cell switch -in the reactor trip breaker. On March 16th at 1927 hours0.0223 days
0.535 hours
0.00319 weeks
7.332235e-4 months
, the_ unit was made

. critical and on March 17th at 1755-hours the unit was synchronized to the

' grid. The unit 1remained on line the remainder of.the. report period ending at a power level of 1052 MWe (99% reactor power) and having an availability. factor of 80.3%

Unit 2

-The unit entered the reporting period at a power level of.452 MWe (47%

reactor power). Ramping down of the unit began February 28th at 0245 hours0.00284 days
0.0681 hours
4.050926e-4 weeks
9.32225e-5 months
for turbine overspeed test. On March 1st at 0019 hours2.199074e-4 days
0.00528 hours
3.141534e-5 weeks
7.2295e-6 months
the unit was critical and on March 2nd at 1835 hours0.0212 days
0.51 hours
0.00303 weeks
6.982175e-4 months
the unit was' synchronized ~to the grid. 'On March 24th at lill hours, while performing reactor protection system logic testing,' the installation of the instrument power fuses-on both source range channels created electrical disturbances which caused a "High Negative Flux Rate" trip on two power ranges resulting .in a Reactor Trip. On March 25th at 0406 hours0.0047 days
0.113 hours
6.712963e-4 weeks
1.54483e-4 months
the unit was made critical and at 1050 hours0.0122 days
0.292 hours
0.00174 weeks
3.99525e-4 months
the. unit was synchronized to the grid._ The unit remained on line. ;
