Allegation of Lunchtime Drinking at Pilgrim On March 3, 1986, we received an anonymous telephone allegation, apparently from a BECo employee at the Pilgrim plant. He alleged that BECo employees go out for lunch and come back " drunk;" especially electrical and mechanical maintenance workers.

Specifically, he alleged that there was widespread drinking in the parking lot during the lunch period and that workers were coming back through the gate in an obviously intoxicated state. In response to our questioning, he stated that he had not discussed this matter with BECo management.

Please look into this allegation and inform us in writing of your findings and those measures currently in place to detect and preclude personnel under the in-fluence of alcohol from gaining access to the Pilgrim site. In addition, please describe your policy to encourage concerns such as this to be expressed to BEco management.
