SUBJECT:
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN REVIEWING THE ENVIROCARE OF UTAH. INC., SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIAL, LICENSE APPLICATION DWM staff is anticipating the receipt of a Part 70 license application in early December from the commercial LLW disposal fa.:,ility located near Clive,- Utah. The purpose of this memorandum is to request technical assistance in conducting the acceptance review. Please find attached a technical assistance request (Attachment 1) that outlines specific areas to be reviewed. Additional technical assistance will be requested when we proceed with reviewing the technical aspects of the application.
Based on preliminary discussion, we understand thet higher priority work and the holidays will preclude you from meeting a 30-day response. We, therefore, propose your input into the acceptance review be submitted by February 10,1998. Please respond to this request by identifying staff, who will be available to provide this support,-
by COB, December 5,1997.
