SUBJECT:
EMERGENCY TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE RCIC STEAM LINE ISOLATION VALVE Re: Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Unit 2 By letter dated June 4, 1986 you requested an emergency Technical Specification (TS) change which would permit the inboard reactor core isolation cooling (RCIC) steam line isolation valve (E51-F007) isolation time to be increased from 20 to 30 seconds.
We have reviewed your evaluation and justification provided in your submittal and find them acceptable. This letter will confirm the verbal granting of a temporary waiver of compliance to change the E51-F007 valve isolation time to 30 seconds as indicated in the enclosed TS page for Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Unit 2.
This waiver of compliance will be in.effect until June 11, 1986, while we complete the processing of your amendment request.
