October 2,1986 Partial Exercise The Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region I office has been participating in various licensee emergency preparedness full scale exercises approximately four times a year.
Although your October 2, 1986 exercise is a partial exercise, we are planning to participate with you as players.
This NRC involvement will be in addition to, and completely separate from, the normal NRC inspection team to evaluate your performance.
As discussed between Dr.
Ronald R. Bellamy of my staff and Mr. Lee Oxsen of your staff on May 21, 1986, my staff will be in contact with your organization to facilitate arrangements as we near the exercise date. We will meet with both you and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
We look forward to utilizing your new Emergency Operations Facility.
