DOCKET NOS. 50-348 AND 50-384 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENTS TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has permitted the request of Southem Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. (SNC), to withdraw part 2 of its June 13,1997, application for preposed amendment, to Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-2 and NPF-8 for
. the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, located in Houston County, Alabama.
The proposed amendments would have revised TS 3.9.13 by extending the completion time allowed for retuming one out-of service penetration room filtration system from 48 hours5.555556e-4 days <br />0.0133 hours <br />7.936508e-5 weeks <br />1.8264e-5 months <br /> to 7 days.
The Comm!:sion had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of issuance of Amendments published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on July 16,1997 (62 FR 38138).
However, by letter dated January 7,1998, SNC withdrew part 2 of the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendments dated June 13,1997, and SNC's letter dated January 7,1997, which withdrew part 2 of the application for license amendments.
