01 REPORT l-96-005; RE: VERMONT YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER STATION: DISCRIMINATION AGAINST A SENIOR ENGINEER FOR RAISING CONCERNS OVER A DESIGN CHANGE TO THE ADVANCED OFF GAS SYSTEM The above captioned O! report involves alleged discrimination against a Senior Engineer at Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (VY) for raising concerns over a design change to the VY Advanced Off Gas System. 01 did not substantiate the allegation. Therefore, it appears that enforcement action is not appropriate in this case.
OE does not intend to request an OGC analysis of this re) ort. I will consider the matter closed unless we receive a different view wit 11n three weeks of the date of this memorandum. Please contact Michael Stein of my staff with any comments.
