NOTICE OF VIOLATION Commonwealth Edison Company Docket Nos. 50-373;50-374 As a result of the inspection conducted on May 6-8, 1986, and in accordance with
" General Statement of Policy and Procedures" for NRC Enforcement Actions 10 CFR 4
Part 2, Appendix C (1985), the following violation was identified:
10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion V as implemented by Commonwealth Edison Company (CECO) Quality Assurance Manual, Nuclear Generating Stations, Section 5, requires that the activities affecting quality be performed in accordance with documented instructions, procecures, and drawings of a type appropriate to the circumstances.
Contrary to the above, the applicable procedure (Drywell Temperature Monitoring Program Procedure LTP-300-17, Revision 1) was not followed, in that the weekly drywell temperature data was not transmitted to Station Nuclear Engineering Department (SNED) for review and evaluation of the data which supports the environmental qualification of the safety-related equipment as required by this procedure.
This is a Severity Level V violation (Supplement I).
The inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified violation and to prevent recurrence.
Consequently, no reply to the violation is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter.
