SUBJECT:

50.5S(e)- REPORT ON CROSBY MAIN STEAM VALVE RIM SETTINGS As we discussed on the telephone last week, I am enclosing the subject 50.55(e) report from Public Service of New Hampshire.

The problem of inadequate capacity of the main steam safety valves seems similar to the previously reviewed problem of the RCS safety valves.

I would appreciate your review of this issue, along with your judgment as to whether it could be generic to other plants. Depending on your conclusions, an infor-mation notice, or possibly a bulletin, or generic letter may be appropriate.
