On October 10, 1985, the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (0NRR) approve'd Report No. CENPD-269-P entitled " Extended Burnup Operation of. -

Combustion Engineering PWR Fuel" for review for the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Unit Nos. 1 and 2.

This report was submitted by your letter dated June 7,1982. On September 7,1984, Revision 1 to it was submitted to provide additional information.

Based on information provided by the ONRR staff as the result of their final review of the report, as revised, it has been determined that a Class IV fee ($12,300) is appropriate since the review involved consi-deration of a complex issue. Since the methodology was applicable only to the Calvert Cliffs facilities, the ONRR staff has determined that the review of this report is plant-specific rather than a topical report.

Therefore, fees are being assessed in accordance with 10 CFR 170.22 of the March 23, 1978 regulations since it was plant specific and was submitted for review prior to the June 20, 1984 revision to 10 CFR 170.

Your Company is requested to remit the sum of $12,300 to this office for the review of CENPD-269.
