Dear Mr. Beard:
On November 18,1997, the facility administered a written re-take examination to one
'emp'oyee of your company who had re applied for a license to operate the Crystal River
Nuclear Plant Unit 3. At the conclusion of the examination, the chief examiner discussed the
examination questions and preliminary findings with those members of your staff identified in
the enclosed report.

A copy of the written examination questions and answer key, as noted in Enclosure 2, was
provided to the members of your training staff at the conclusion of the examination.

The chief examiner concluded that the candidate's performance on the written test was
satisfactory.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and
the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Documen? Room.
