During the past year we at General Electric - Morris Operation have been. receiving and storing irradiated nuclear fuel. We are pleased to note that this has been done with-out incident both on the road and here at the site. While we. are working to maintain this safety record we also wish to continue a certain preparedr.ess in the event of an accident. It is instrumental in this effort that our Emergency Plan is kept up co date.
Toward this end we are including the 1976 revisions to the Plan. Most important, how-cver, is the willingness you expressed some time ago to assist us if any emergency develops.
uld you reaffirm this willingness to assist in an emergency in accordance with 'our I
previous discussions and arrangements by signing this letter and returning a copy to me.
Finally, I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you and/or a member (s) of your staff to visit our facility for a preparedness meeting on December 9 (7:00 to 9:00 PM).
The agenda planned will include the following:
1.
Current status and plans for MO 2.
Implementation.of the Plan - everybody's part 3.
A practical emergency drill - is it possible?
4.
