This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by T. Rebelowski
of this office on April 4-8, 1988 at the Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Station,
Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey of activities authorized by HRC License No. NPF-57.

Mr. Rebelowski discussed the results of the inspection with Mr. J. Hagan and
other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with persor.nel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
