Dear Mr. Hurley:
Pursuant to 10 CTR 50.90, commonwealth Edison proposes to amend l
Appendia A, Technical Specifications to facility Operating Licensee DPR-29 l
and DPR-30 to make several changes. The proposed changes lavolve the intervals at which the Main Steam Line Isolation Valves (MSIV's) Local Leak Rate Tests (LLRT's) are performed. The existing technical specifications call for the tests to be performed at 18 month intervals while the proposed l
amendmant seeks to change it to 24 months, which meets the requirements of l
10 CTR 50 Appendix J.
1 The proposed changes have been reviewed and approved by both On-Site and Off-Site review in accordance with Commonwealth Edison Company procedures. We have reviewed these proposed amenhents in accordance with 10 CFR 50.92(c) and determined that no significant hasards consideration esists. This evaluation is documented in Attachment 3.
Commonwealth Edison is notifying the State of Illinois of our spp11 cation for this amenhent by tranditting a copy of this letter and its j
attacionent to the designated State Of ficial.
In accordance with 10 CFR 170, a fee remittance in the amount of
$150 is enclosed.
