SUBJECT:
NRC INSPECTIONS PLANNED PRIOR TO FUEL LCAD FOR BROWNS FERRY In our August 17, 1988 letter to you on the above subject we stated that prior to refueling we would perform a major team inspection of one of the safety systems returned to service for refuel of Browns Ferry Unit 2.
Based on recent meetings with you and our evaluation of the best use of our inspection resources we have decided to reschedule this inspection until February 1989.
At that time we would expect the NPP, Volume 3, Special' Programs to be essen-tially complete and any recuired corrective actions to be close to being fully implemented.
It remains our intent to specifically identify the single system to be inspected two weeks prior to the inspection.
The other inspection activities described in our August 17, 1988 letter remain the same.
