IX-81-10 06/12/81 Oyster Creek Jersey Central Power and Light Co.

Ocean County, NJ At 7:40 a.m., a contractor employee was selected at random for search it the contractor access control point.

The search revealed a 35 nun film canister containing three to four gram".

a green substance which was identified by the contract::-

marijuana.

The employee's unescorted access was withorawn and local law enforcement authorities were notified.

IX-81-12 09/14/81 Shearon Harris Carolina Power and Light Co.

Wake and Chatham Counties, NC Five const uction personnel were discovered smoking marijuana dur-ing a work 'ureak, terminated and escorted off-sit 2.

No fuel pre-sent at site.

IX-81-13 09/20/81 Grand Gulf Mississippi Power and Light Co.

Claiborne County, MS A Senior Reactor Operator was arrested off-site on and charged with drug possession.

The licensee suspended the individual and initiated an internal investigation.

Fuel present at site.

IX-81-14 09/23/81 Farley Alabama Power Co.

Houston County, AL Six employees of Alabama Power Company were suspended following a company-initiated investigation concerning drug use at the pl ant. % on-site drug use was discovered; some minor off-site use was confirmed.

No NRC-licensed reactor operators were iden-tified as being involved.

IX-81-15 10/03/81 Turkey Point Florida Power and Light Co.

Dade County, FL A contractor employee was found with a controlled substance while undergoing on-site treatment for an apparent medical problem.

IX-81-16 10/16/81 Sequoyah Tennessee Valley Authority Hamilton County, TN A student o'perator trainee was arrested at the Sequoyah site and charged with off-site sale of drugs.

The individual's site access authorization was removed by the licensee.

The NRC recently found that a large euaber of fire brigade meebers onette had not drilled in 1985 or 1986 as requtred.

The inspectors will follow itcensee actions.
