35. These valves are in lines tha.t are below the minimum water level in the suppressior, pool, are part of closed systems outside primary containment, and are in portions of lines which a water seal will' be present following an accident. Therefore, 10CFR50, Appendix J Type C testing is not required.
36. This is a remote manual isolation valve.

Valve stroke time does not provide an input to the Safety Analysis.

Therefore, verification of isolation time is not required. Valve performance is monitored in accordance with Technical Specification 4.0.5.

37. Valve HV41-102 is locked closed, the motor operator is normally de-energized and the valve position is controlled procedurally. The valve remains closed during 10 CFR50, Appendix J, Type A testing and Type C testing is not o

required.
