Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by kr. J. B. Baird and a team of

NRC Operating License NPF-47 for the River Bend Station, and to the discussion
inspectors during the period February 24-28, 1986, of activities authorized by
of our findings with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of
the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included implementation of the emergency
preparedness plan and procedures during the annual emergency response exercise.

Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of
procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
observations by the inspectors.
These findings are documented in the enclosed
report.
The enclosed report identifies deficiencies in your emergency preparedness
program.
You are requested to provide this office with a schedule for

correcting those deficiencies within 30 days after receipt of this letter.
Within .the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.

The response requested by this letter is not subject to clearance procedures of
the Office of Maragement and Budget as required by the paperwork Reduction Act
of 1980, PL 96-511.
