On May 7, 1986, the subject material ~was7eceived at Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station under the By-product Material. License. The receipt of this material was not authorlisdTyJhis license. A complete investigation as to how this--occurred'is currently being conducted. A follow up report will be issued.when our inve,stigation is complete.
This material is currently.)eing' stored under. constant surveillance in a secured area of our warehouse as Special Nuclear Material of Low Strategic Significance. Upon the-issuance of a-CPSES Special Order in accordance with the Operating Department Administrative Procedure 207, the material will be moved and stored in the' flew' Fuel Storage Area until placed in service. The New Fuel Storage Area is protected in accordance with the CPSES " Inter.im Physical-Security Plan-for Protection of Stored Special Nuclear Material of Low Strategic Significance at CPSES".
This letter will serve as_a. follow.up.to the_ telephone conversation between Mr. R. J. Everett and Mr. B. T. Lancaster at approximately 1600 hours0.0185 days <br />0.444 hours <br />0.00265 weeks <br />6.088e-4 months <br /> on May 8, 1986..
