,Page 2 of 3 The JOG agreed that after the issuance of the SE, described above, requests would be made for participating utilities to notify the NRC of their plans to implement the JOG program described in Topical Report MPR-1807, (Revision 2), dated July 1997, " Joint Owners' Group Program on Motor-Operated Valve Periodic Verification," which was the subject of the SE, and that any deviations would be justified. This letter provides the Virgil C. Summer Nuc!w Station (VCSNS) response.
Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station (VCSNS) desires to amend its earlier response to the subject RAI submitted in RC-98-0182. As a participant in the JOG Program on MOV Periodic Verification, VCSNS agrees to meet or exceed the JOG program as described in Topical Report MPR-1807, Revision 2, dated July 1997, " Joint Owners' Group Program on Motor-Operated Valve Periodic Verification."
VCSNS will provide justification for and notify the NRC of any significant deviations from the JOG program, as described above, in accordance with existing plant procedures and the NEl guidance for commitment reduction.
This letter supersedes prior communications regarding periodic verification testing commitments for either GL 96-05 or GL 89-10.
