Dear Mr. Kingsley:

SUBJECT:

GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION (GGNS) UNITS 1 AND 2, SEISMIC QUALIFICATION OF EQUIPMENT IN THE STANDBY SERVICE WATER COOLING TOWER BASIN (SSWCTB)

By letter dated January 28, 1985, the Mississippi Power & Light Company provided information on the impact of a revised seismic analysis of the SSWCTB on the seismic qualification of equipment in the SSWCTB. The NRC staff has previously reviewed and accepted the revised seismic analysis and resulting floor response spectra curves by letter dated June 13, 1985.

The NRC staff has completed its review of the licensee's January 28, 1985, sub-
