(NRC !NSPECTION REFORT NOS. 50-335/S5-22 AND 50-339/SS-22)
This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Com9ission (NRC) inspection conducted by
J. L. Caldaell on July 16
August 19, 1938. The inspection included a review
of activities authori:ed for youe North Anna f acility.
At the cunclusien of
the inspection, the findings were discussed with these n'erters of your staf f
identified in the enclosed inspection report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
these areas, the inspection censisted of selective exa-inations of procedures
and representative records, in.erviews with personnel, and cbservation of
activities in progress.
The inspectica firdings indicate that certain a:tivities appeared to violate
hRC requirerents.
One of the violations discussed i t; the report met the
criteria to be categori:ed as licensee-identified and is not cited. The cther
violations, references to pertinent reaviretents, and elements to be included in
your response are described in the enclosed Notice of Violation.
