Dear Sir,
Borg-Warner Industrial Products, Inc., Pump Division, manufacturers of Byron Jackson Pump products, is introducing Technical Service Bulletins to provide the user with up to date information about Byron Jackson products, their service experiences, problems and recommended countermeasures and/or solutions.
These Technical Service Bulletins will be issued in two forms. A TechNotes Bulletin will provide specific information to identify problems and their solutions and/or product improvements which will extend product life, increase reliability and enhance performance.
A TechAlert Bulletin will be used as an information release regarding field and operating problems encountered in specific applications of Byron Jackson products in order to inform all users of potential problems and countermeasures.
We recognize, as original equipment manufacturers, the responsibility to keep you informed of field and operating experiences which may affect Byron Jackson equipment, in order to help identify potential problems and plan for their resolution in an organized, efficient manner.
Attached is the first of our Technical Service Bulletins, a TechAlert concerning the Crystal River Shaft fracture. Additional information is forthcoming as failure analyses and our recommendations are completed.
We will be providing you a special binder in which to keep these bulletins and they will be issued in a controlled manner with a receipt requested.
