Preparedness activities conducted by Mr. C. Amato of this office on ^. r

8-11, 1988, at the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant, Oswego, 'o York.

Discussions of our findings were presented by Mr. Amato to your staff t the

conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I report

which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection

consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,

inspection of emergency response facilities, interviews with personnel and

observations of the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
