This letter forwards a copy of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) Inte-

grated Assessment Team Inspection (IATI) Report (No. 50-293/88-21), conducted

at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (PNPS) from August 8 through 24, 1988; the

Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) Board Report (No. 50-293/

87-99), dated July 27, 1988, covering the period February 1, 1987 through

May 15, 1988; and the transcripts from the NRC's Advisory Committee on Reactor

Safeguards (ACRS) Subcommittee meeting held on August 26, 1988, at Memorial

, Hall, Plymouth, Massachusetts, and the ACRS Full Committee meeting held on

September 8, 1988, in Bethesda, Maryland, concerning the proposed plant

restart.

This material is provided for your information. Copies of this material have

also been sent to the Public Libraries within the Emergency Planning Zone

(EPZ), which had previously received copies of the PNPS Restart Plan and Self-

Assessment Report, for public review.
