On January 17, 1986 the Comissf on placed a limited ban on the exportation vf low-leye? radteactive waste generated in the Southeast Compset party states.
Yffective March 1,1996, waste must not be exported outside the regfon for disposal f f (2) it seets the Ifeensing requf ttments of the rygfonal f4c(1f ty (f.ormeell) or (2) f t could seet such requirensnts through processing by available methods.
Please assist us in notifying the appropef ate persons regarding this new polfey.
We have asked the ef g'it state apenefes responsfbfe for ifcensing the use of radioactive sterials In the rygfon to inform thif r generators of Tow-level radioactive waste. A similar rsquest was also made of Chen-helear Systems, Inc.
