I sincerel Electric (yBG&E) appreciate the courtesy extended which deleg:ition to the visiting Baltirore Gas and of Soviet nuclear experts at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Plant on April 25, 1988. The tour and discussions with BG&E representatives were well focused and reflected the professionalism and dedication of the plant staff and BG&E corporate management. This visit, the first stop on the Soviet delegation's itinerary during its one-week stay in the U.S., set the stage for our later safety discussions and helped us accomplish what I consider to be a principal goal in this new cooperative effort: to share good U.S. safety practices with  ;

the Soviet civilian nuclear establishment. Thank you for your '

valuable contribution to this effort.

On May 2, during final discussions with the visiting Soviet team, the photographs of the team's visit to Calvert Cliffs were presented to them as mementos of their visit. It was obvious that the team was very pleased with this gesture, and I want to pass on to you the thanks which the team expressed upon receiving the pictures.
