during the period July 25-29 and August 15-19, 1988, of activities authorized

by NRC Operati N License DRP-40 for Fort Calhoun Station, and to the discussion
of our findings with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of

the inspection.

The area examined during the inspection was the Inservice Testing (IST) Program
!
for pumps and valves. Within this area, the inspection consisted of selective
j
examination of procedures and resresentative records, interviews with
personnel, and observations by tie NRC inspector.
The inspection findings are

documented in the enclosed inspection report.

During this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities were in
I
violation of NRC requirements.
Since corrective action was initiated,
completed, and verified by the NRC inspector prior to the completion of this

inspection, no written response is necessary.

We have also examined actions you have taken with regard to previously

identified inspection findings. The status of these items is identified in
paragraph 2 of the enclosed report.
