POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 INTRODUCTION In a letter dated February 22, 1988, Wisconsin Electric Power Company, the licensee for Point Beach Nuclear Plant. Unit Nos. I and 2, submitted Revision 1 to the Point Beach Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (00CM). The staff has retained the services of EG&G Idaho, Incorporated, to review the Point Beach ODCM, Revision 1.

EVALUATION The results of the EG&G Idaho review of the Point Beach ODCM, Revision 1 are contcinedintheattachedTechnicalEvaluationReport(TER).

CONCLUSION The staff agrees with the conclusions presented in the attached TER, namely that the Point Beach ODCM, Revision 1 uses nethods that are, in general, consistent with staff guidelines; however, a number of discrepancies and suggestions are identified in the TER.

The licensee should revise the ODCM and the Environmental Manual in accordance with the TER comments.
