PROPOSED MEETING TO DISCUSS A NUMBER OF LONGSTANDING SAFETY ISSUES FOR CLOSURE A number of longstanding safety issues for your facility rerain open due to staff concerns that possibly lend themselves to resolution in a reeting situa-tion, better_than through additional correspondence. Therefore we propose to hold a meeting in the near 'uture, at Rockt file, Maryland, between members of your staff and the NRC staff responsible for the issues to be discussed.
The specific issues and the associated concerns that rust be resolved to close them out are described in the Enclosure.
Closecut vill be based on (1) acceptance of your response by the NRC staff, or
(?) a ccrmitment by AP&L to corplete some action at a future date acceptable to the NRC staff. Fonnal closure will be docunented in the neeting minutes.
