This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. G. L. Madsen and
W. R. Bennett of this office during the period August 1-31, 1988, of activities
authorized by tiRC Operating License DPR-46 fnr Cooper fluclear Stattun, and to
the discussion of our findings with Mr. G. R. Horn and other traters of your
staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included Information fictice followup,
operational safety verification, nonthly surveillance and r.aintenance
observations, ESF walkdown, radiological protection, and security.
Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
tiRC inspector. The inspection findings are docurrented in the enclosed
inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
We have also examined actions you have taken with regaro' to previously
identified inspection findings. The status of these items is identified in
paragraph 3 of the enclosed report.
