CORE SPRAY SAFE. END INSPECTION (TAC NO.67522)
Re: Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station By letter dated March 1,1988 Vertront Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation (VYNPC) infortned us of their plans to continue operation beyond cycle 13 (current cycle) on the core spray safe ends. We understand that VYNPC comits to confirm evaluation results and document acceptable continued operation of the core spray safe-end nozzle weld overlays by performing periodic ultrasonic examination of the weld overlays in accordance with NUREG.0313, and NRC Generic letter 88 01 dated January 25, 1988. We find these plans acceptable, providing that inspection results are satisfactory.
