Dear Mr. Randarza:

The Comission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.106 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-36 for the Maine Yankee (NY) Atomic Pcwer Station. This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) in response to your application dated June 29, 1988.

This amendment nodifies Technical Specification 3.12. "Station Service Pcwer." which provides limiting conditions for operation for the electric power system. The change prohibits reliance on the 115 kV Surowiec line unless additional justification is provided to the NRt.. This restriction will remain in effect until a new capacitor bank is placed in operation.

A copy of the Safety Evaluation is also enc 1csed. The notice of issuance will be included in the Comission's next regular bi-weekly Federal Registeg notice.
