THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT NO.1 - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST, TSCR NO. 243 (TAC NO. M95239)
Dear Mr. Langenbach:
- By letter dated April 10,1996, as supplemented May 24,1996, you applied for an amendment to the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit No.1 Operating License No. DPR-50. The proposed changes would have extended the surveillance interval on several instruments from 18 to 24 months +/- 25 percent (pursuant to technical specification (TS) allowances) in accordance with the guidance in Generic Letter (GL) 91-04, and would also have deleted certain surveillances related to the Makeup, Purification, and Chemical Addition Systems.
The staff issued a request foi additional information (RAl) dated April 7,1998, related to your application. Subsequently, by letter dated September 18,1998, you withdrew the amendment request for reasons stated in your letter. You also indicated that you intend to re-address the request to delete certain surveillances in future correspondence.
